What It Is
DRDO's Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) is the Bengaluru-based aeronautics laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation. It led India's indigenous MALE UAV effort as design house of the Rustom programme, culminating in the TAPAS-BH-201 (Rustom-II) twin-engine MALE platform, and develops the ALFA series of swarming air-launched effects under the Combat Air Teaming System umbrella. ADE also designs unmanned target aircraft and flight-control technologies that feed multiple DRDO and Indian industry programmes.
